Knowledge Literacy

from: Libraries of the Future

What is Knowledge literacy? According to the Association of College and Research Libraries Information literacy is learning not only how to find and access information but also evaluate its validity and authenticity.  Who are the sources of the information?  Is it an accredited scholar or someone that is trying to advance their own agenda or point of view?  Is their information valid but slightly shewed or is it completely fabricated?

In  addition there are added layers of complexity and a myriad of sources both digital and analog making information evaluation and validation more complex for students and scholars.  This blog will explore skills, techniques and innovations dealing with learning Knowledge Literacy.
